The project was initiated during the COVID pandemic, when many people were looking for new, creative ways to enrich their time at home. The app guides users through recipes, with fictional characters leading them through the cooking process in a podcast-like format. We came up with the characters ourselves, gave them a very special personality and formulated the dialogs ourselves. From a strict, almost aggressive drill sargent Angry Don, to the meditative, relaxed and self-esteem-boosting Ethan, to our Granny Ruth, who talks about her exciting past and how she came across the recipe. The recipes for each character always match their personalities, as does the UI of the interface.

This concept, developed for the NEFF competition, earned 3rd place and a cash prize, showcasing ideas for a smarter, more interactive kitchen.
